BOSTON (AP) — The man shot to death in Boston last weekend has been identified as the older brother of a woman who was one of four people killed in a shooting in the city nearly six years ago.

Police announced Monday that the victim of the shooting reported just after 11 p.m. Saturday was 31-year-old Andrew Flonory.

Friends say Flonory was one of two men shot at a backyard barbecue in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood.

Delorise Flonory, their grandmother, tells the Boston Herald that Andrew Flonory was the brother of 21-year-old Eyanna Flonory, one of five people shot in the same neighborhood in September 2010. Four people died, including Eyanna’s 2-year-old son, Amani Smith.

Andrew Flonory was killed just a couple streets away from where his sister was slain.
