CONCORD, NH (WHDH) — A man was killed in a car crash in Concord Thursday, according to New Hampshire state police.

Police responded to a report of a car crash on I-93 South shortly before noon. When police arrived, they found a car in the breakdown lane near the guardrail.

The driver, later identified, as 63-year-old Dean Scott of Epsom, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations showed the driver lost control of the car for unknown reasons and struck the guardrails in the southbound lane before stopping.

According to police, alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
