KINGSTON, MASS. (WHDH) - A Sagamore Beach man pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges of inappropriately touching two girls in Kingston in April.
Justin Kettell, 38, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and battery in Plymouth District Court. He was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison with six months to serve and a two-year suspended sentence.
The charges stem from an incident in April, when police in Kingston received a 9-1-1 call from a parent at an indoor play area for young children called Billy Beez, located in the Kingston Collection mall.
Police say the parent reported that Kettell was attempting to “tickle” the children.
Two parents and an employee attempted to stop Kettell, who fled the store on foot. A parent took photos of him and forwarded them to police, who arrested him shortly thereafter.
A judge ordered Kettell to undergo a mental health evaluation, remain drug and alcohol free, and to stay away from the play area and the victims.
He was sentenced to six months behind bars.
