A group of brave strangers managed to rescue a man trapped in his car after it caught fire in Memphis.
The man’s Jeep caught fire after witnesses said it was sideswiped by another car and rolled down a hill before crashing into a pole. Moments later, flames could be seen coming from the car’s roof.
A group of good Samaritans sprung into action to help rescue the driver, who was stuck inside the car.
"Everybody started getting stuff to bust the windows, we had to get the man out of this car," said witness Elicia Bridgforth. A man finally came over with a jack iron and they were able to smash the car’s window open.
The driver was rescued and carried to safety just in time. The only item from the car that survived the fire was a Bible, a discovery that brought some of the rescuers to tears.
