Officials are investigating a fire at a Texas home as an arson after a man was seen walking away from the house minutes before it erupted in flames.
On Sunday morning, a man was seen on surveillance video walking away from the home in Humble, Texas. Minutes later, the house caught fire.
The family that owns the home says the man on the video is the same man who knocked on their door approximately two hours before the fire asking for a ride. Corey Carr, who lives in the home, said he offered to call 911 for the man. However, the man walked away.
Carr was inside with his brother, daughter, wife and 9-month old granddaughter but escaped safely. The fire killed the family’s dog and cat.
