Police are looking for a suspect after a robbery early Saturday morning that left one person with a gunshot wound to the head.
At approximately 2:25 a.m., police in Worcester responded to Water Street near Grafton Street for a report of a gunshot victim. Authorities came across a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported to a local hospital. His injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
Police say that earlier in the evening, the victim was at a bar on Water Street. After leaving the bar, the man went to his car in the Canal Lofts parking lot. He was putting antifreeze in his car when the suspect approached, pulled out a handgun, and demanded the man’s wallet. The victim handed over his wallet, and the suspect fired at the victim, then fled the scene.
There is a limited description of the male suspect at this time.
