A man died after the taxi he had gotten out of just moments before hit him in Quincy on Friday afternoon.
The 68-year-old man was transported to Boston Medical Center and later died.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. on Quincy Avenue.
The Yellow Cab dropped him off at his home and he walked around the back of the cab, Quincy Police said.
Quincy Police said the cab then reversed over the man.
Police said the taxi driver had been doing paperwork in the car and did not see the man.
The cab did not leave the scene.
Police are investigating the incident.
