MBTA Transit Police are reporting that a person was struck and killed by an MBTA Commuter Rail train.
According to police, the victim was a male. According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office, the victim was a 58-year-old man. The person was struck by an inbound train on the Lowell Line.
The incident happened in the vicinity of 662 Boston Avenue in Medford.
The man was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
Transit police and the Middlesex County DA’s office are currently investigating.
