Boston police say a man was shot and killed early Friday morning in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.

The shooting happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Geneva Avenue.

Responding officers found a man in his late 30s on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

No arrests have been made. The incident us under investigation.
