LYNN, MASS. (WHDH) - A suspect is wanted in a string of armed robberies at stores in Lynn.

The suspect has struck at nine stores in Lynn since late October. At a Richdale on North Franklin Street, police said the suspect pistol-whipped an employee, who then fought back. The suspect fled from that scene empty-handed.

At a Richdale on Chatham Street, cashier Tarik Khan said the man, who wore a white hooded sweatshirt and gloves, jumped over the counter and threatened him with a gun.

“It was a little scary because he’s carrying a gun and we have no choice,” said Khan. The suspect got away with cash from the register.

Police believe the suspect is a Hispanic male in his 20s. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lynn Police at 781-595-2000.
