A man who allegedly slashed a police officer with a steak knife early Sunday morning was held without bail Monday pending a dangerousness hearing.
Patxie Delorbe, 30 of Worcester, pleaded not guilty to violating an abuse-prevention order, resisting arrest, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder.
The Worcester police officer who was injured is now recovering after being stabbed in the face.
The officer responded to an incident of a man threatening a woman who had a restraining order against him.
When the officers went to arrest the man, he pulled out a steak knife and stabbed the officer, said police.
The officer got a few stitches and is expected to be OK.
