MANCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) — Police in New Hampshire saved Christmas for one family whose gifts were stolen.

A mother reported that the gifts were taken from the basement of her apartment building in Manchester Monday morning.

The Manchester Police Department went to work replacing the stolen gifts with donations from officers and discounts from local stores.

The officers said they were happy to make sure the kids had something to open under the Christmas tree.
