EAST BOSTON — State Police and Boston Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in East Boston.
State Police said the body was found in a dry part of Belle Isle Marsh just before 5 p.m. Friday. The area is across Bennington Street from Suffolk Downs. State Police said the body appears to have been there for some time.
Sources tell 7News the body appears to have a gunshot wound and may have been the victim of a homicide.
The identity of the body is unknown. The Department of Conservation and Recreation is helping in the investigation.
