MARBLEHEAD, MASS. (WHDH) - Marblehead Police request the help of the public to identify a woman shown taking a political sign on their Facebook page.
The theft occurred Tuesday night and was caught on a home security camera. The suspect initially drove by around 9:30, then returned again approximately an hour.
This is the seventh case of theft or vandalism of the political campaign sign on Harbor Avenue and police continue to investigate.
The police department in a Facebook post expressed that “Regardless of political affiliations, trespassing on private property and the taking of something that doesn’t belong to you (which under MA law is considered Larceny) can land a person in court with hefty fines, the possibility of jail time and a criminal record.”
