In a month that can feature wild swings, we’ll generally find ourselves swinging into Spring this week as temps warm above average.  The warmest day by far will be Wednesday as the 70 degree mark is within reach. While the 70 degree weather highlights our Spring weather, we’ll also find ourselves in other familiar signs of Spring in New England.  "Backdoor cold front" and "cooler at the coast" are terms often used around here, and we’ll use them for sure this week.

While I don’t expect much rain today, a passing shower can’t be ruled out across northern Mass and southern New Hampshire.  Temps this afternoon warm into the 40s to near 50 with a gusty southwesterly wind at times.

Tuesday is dry with partly sunny skies and a cool ocean breeze in the afternoon.  Highs tomorrow range from the mid 40s at the coast to mid 50s inland. (There’s that "cooler at the coast")

The mild air is slated to slide in Wednesday as highs near 70 for many towns away from the south coast of New England.   The record for the date in Boston is 72 degrees, so we’ll likely be close to that. If we hit 70, it’ll be the first time in Boston since last November.

A backdoor cool front slides in Thursday, dropping temperatures throughout the day as an onshore wind kicks in.  Temps are likely warmer for the morning commute vs. the evening commute as the numbers start that day in the 50s to near 60 and fall into the 40s by sunset.  Showers/drizzle likely arrive by afternoon and stick around until Friday morning.

Right now, the weekend looks mainly dry.  Don’t forget, clocks go forward by 1 hour.
