The Massachusetts Gaming Commission denied a proposal on Thursday for a casino to be built in Brockton.
The Commission tweeted Thursday afternoon: "Commission denies commercial license to MG&E by a 4-1 vote."
The decision capped three days of deliberations on the $677 Million complex.
Regulators decided the project wasn’t the kind of destination resort the state envisioned in its casino law.
Thursday’s vote was the third and final day of presentations and deliberation on the proposal.
