The Massachusetts lottery has seen big gains in sales.
According to the lottery, gross sales are up more than $170 million compared to the same time last year.
Powerball ticket sales, leading up to the record jackpot drawing last month, provided a big boost.
In Massachusetts, January powerball sales totaled nearly $80 million.
