STERLING, Mass. (WHDH) — The Powerball jackpot was up to $122 million Wednesday night and one of the two big winners bought their ticket in Massachusetts.

Chirag Patel at the Appletown Market in Sterling has a sign hanging proudly by the store bragging that they sold the winning ticket.

"I think this is the luckiest store in Worcester County,” Patel said.

The person who bought the ticket hasn’t come forward yet, but that didn’t stop some shoppers at the store from speculating what they would do if they won.

"I'd be very charitable, I'd spread it around pretty well. Unfortunately it wasn't me. I always buy lottery tickets here, I did not buy Powerball so it wasn't me,” Rick Smith said.

Because Appletown sold the winning ticket they will win $50,000, which Patel said he will use for Christmas.

The winner who bought their ticket at Appletown will have to split the jackpot with a second winner who bought their ticket in Nebraska.
