BOSTON (WHDH) - Two local politicians have been invited to speak at the Democratic National Convention next week.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Rep. Joe Kennedy III are both scheduled to speak at the convention in Philadelphia. Sen. Elizabeth Warren has already been announced as a speaker.

“I’m sure there will be some people that are Republican that might not like what I have to say, that’s OK,” said Walsh. “There might be some Democrats that might not like what I have to say. That’s OK too.”

Walsh said he is honored to speak at the DNC. He said he has not yet been told the theme of the night when he is scheduled to appear onstage.
