BOSTON (WHDH) - The union representing transit workers plans to present a plan to the MBTA that it says will help the “T” save $24 Million over the next four years.

At Monday’s public meeting the MBTA will reveal the extent of the shortfall for the retirement pension fund.

It’s reportedly $944 Million short.

Fare increases go into effect this Friday.
