Major construction is underway on the Commuter Rail.
The MBTA is replacing 26,000 rail ties on the Framingham-Worcester Commuter Rail line.
Officials say the old ties would overheat, leading to speed restrictions during the summer.
Construction is ahead of schedule and should be complete by the beginning of June.
