Still no snowstorms in sight, heck, except for a couple of cold days this upcoming weekend, I still don’t see any long-lasting cold here in New England. Christmas week looks mild for much of the eastern half of the United States. We do have a couple of storms on deck this week but they will feature raindrops not snowflakes.
Normally, this mild, rainy pattern would have me feeling all Scroogy & Grinchy but with The Force Awakens premiere this week, the last thing I need is a nor’easter. The first of two storms is centered in Chicago this morning & will head for southern Canada this evening–a fast mover and taking a path that will only warm us up even more from where we are now–40s–which is warm!
Until that storm gets close enough to us with rain showers, we only have clouds & pockets of drizzle/sprinkles to contend with today–likely for both commutes. I don’t think we’ll have any steady rain until about 8pm…so rain gear likely for late day-evening activities. Most towns pick up .30" of rain overnight.
The storm is gone tomorrow but the warmth is not. Temps start the day near 60 then level off into the upper 50s throughout the afternoon. Sun is back at times with clouds. The only issue will be the wind, frequently gusting over 25 mph throughout the day but with temps in the upper 50s, hardly a chilly effect. Cooler weather–40s–return by midweek.
Enjoy your Monday.
