Looked like the afternoon was lost to the clouds, but the sun would not be denied. Its afternoon dominance helped us make a late day run at 60 in some spots (Fitchburg and a few Metrowest communities).

Overall, our pattern remains fairly quiet. Not a lot of storms in the pipeline, and certainly not a lot of cold. These days, the forecast hinges on the wind direction.

Chilly sea breezes have been focused along the coast all week long. On Friday, the sea breeze is everybody’s business. Chilly winds from the east/southeast will push the 40s all the way back to Central Mass. Clouds will keep the temperatures down as well, with the sun staying hidden thanks to an approaching weather system.

Still holding back the rain for the Sox home opener on Friday, but it looks like some of the showers will spill over to Saturday morning. All is not lost, however for the start of the weekend. We have a unique situation where the showers/clouds will move out early in the morning, setting us up for a mild, dry afternoon. Sunday is looking pretty snazzy as well – perhaps another day where we can stave off the sea breeze.

Have at it!
Pete
