The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency said on Wednesday it will continue to monitor the forecast for the end of the week following a winter weather watch issued by the National Weather Service.

The winter storm watch was issued for the southeastern part of Massachusetts with snow possibly accumulating early Friday morning.

The watch, which is effective from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes Bristol, Barnstable, and Plymouth counties along with Martha’s Vineyard.

Snow will possibly accumulate early Friday morning across the southeast portion of Massachusetts.

MEMA said the State Emergency Operations Center is operating at Level 1, steady state monitoring, at this time.
