The Time

The men’s synchronized 10m platform event takes place at 3pm ET on Monday, Aug. 8.

The Format

Synchronized diving events are direct finals with no preliminary or semifinal round. 

Each team will perform five dives. The medalists will be determined based on the five dives performed by each team.

The Key Storylines

The men’s synchronized platform event is expected to be one of the most competitive diving events of the Rio Olympics with seven of the eight teams showing the potential to win a medal. China’s Chen Aisen and Lin Yue and Germany’s Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein are among the pairs that could give the United States trouble.
