A man who is accused of contaminating food at several grocery stores in Michigan is in custody, according to the FBI.

The man was spotted on surveillance cameras over the weekend sprinkling a combination of hand sanitizer, rat poison, and water on unpackaged foods.

The man says he reached three grocery stores in Ann Arbor over the past two weeks, and there may be as many as a dozen more that he was targeting.

Health officials say that based on the known ingredients of the solution that he used, they don’t anticipate any adverse effects to the general public.

There are no current reports of anyone who has been sick from the food at the grocery stores impacted.

Officials say the risk to the public is minimal but they advise grocery stores to remain vigilant in the meantime.

There is no word yet for the motive for the man who attempted to contaminate the food.
