BOSTON (WHDH) - The electric heating pads “Mighty Bliss” have been recalled due to safety concerns.
The FDA said it received hundreds of complaints about the heating pads overheating, sparking or burning. The recalled pads were sold between July 2021 and September 2022 through Amazon and Walmart.
The company recommends that those who have the product to:
- Ensure the product is unplugged
- Safely cut the cord off the device
- Take a picture of the device to demonstrate that it can no longer be used
- Upload the picture to its website
The company also advises customers to verify they received the notification even if they no longer have the product on hand.
