BOSTON (WHDH) - The migrants flown from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard on a flight chartered by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last month have begun relocating across the Bay State.

Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, executive director of Lawyers for Civil Rights, an organization representing several of the migrants, shared where many of the migrants have landed.

He said that 47 of the nearly 50 migrants remained in Massachusetts. They’ve moved to Lowell, Brockton, Stoughton and Provincetown, as well as other towns on Cape Cod. Some resettled in Martha’s Vineyard, where they first arrived.

As 7NEWS previously reported, the migrants were flown to Martha’s Vineyard without notice before they were transported to Joint Base Cape Cod for a temporary stay. The housing on the base was shuttered in early October.
