Fantastic weather settles in today as we get a break from the cold and unsettled weather.  Although you’ll need to watch the first steps out the door this morning, thanks to yesterday’s rain and snow melt refreezing into areas of black ice  Give the sunshine a couple hours this morning and the black ice melts away and drip, drip, drip is the noise of melting snow/ice through the rest of the day.  The sunshine has some staying power throughout the day as well as highs near or exceed the 50 degree mark for many towns.

Sunday is another mild one with highs in the upper 40s.  We’ll have more clouds around, and even an afternoon sprinkle/shower northwest of Boston.  Many hours are still dry, so overall, it’s not a bad end to the weekend.

Cold weather returns Monday with highs back in the lower 30s and that colder trend holds through the rest of the week as much colder air from the Arctic invades the country once again.  So we have the cold, but what about the snow?  It looks like that could return Wednesday as well as an area of low pressure tracks just off our coastline.  It’ll too early to suggest amounts/exact track yet, just know that the potential of snow is there for Wednesday.

Until then, enjoy the weekend and the milder air in place!
