A warm front will bring us some flakes, before 50° – but we are STILL in for a weekend warm-up!  The snow showers will push in around 10p-midnight tonight, but it won’t amount to much.  The most snow anyone will pick up?  Between a coating to an inch, with the best chance north of the Mass Pike and up around Route 2.  As temps rise through the night though, any snow that does manage to accumulate will quickly melt off.  That said, there’s still a chance for some slippery travel overnight tonight and through the early hours of tomorrow morning N & W of 495.  By 7am, most spots should be near 40°.

We’ll have a bit of a breeze along with those temps near 50° tomorrow.  The bulk of the day is dry, but I can’t rule out a spot shower for the afternoon/evening hours.  What a difference from last weekend, right?!  A great chance to thaw out.  Sunday will be in the low 50s as well… So… does this mean we’re in for an early spring?  Not quite.

It looks like we’re getting ready for an active pattern next week.  Sunday night into Monday morning will be our next shot at some sleet and snow.  Though, at this point it looks like more of an "annoyance" than a "problem" for the morning commute.  In fact, it could be done and outta here by the time we head back to work and school on Monday.  We’ll continue to watch this and keep you posted.  As far as potential snow accumulation goes, right now I’m really only thinking a possible coating for some spots – which could slow things down (slick roads), but not put the day on hold (not even kinda)!

The big weather headlines for the last few days have been something like, "Watching the Middle of Next Week!"  We still are.  Wednesday looks to be the day, but there are still many details to fine tune; where does the rain/snow line set up?  How much?  When exactly?  Well, recent model runs are showing there could be two different systems that work through, Wednesday AND Thursday.  So that becomes another question today:  Will it be one significant system?  Or two less-significant systems?  Again, we’re watching it… so… stay tuned… – Breezy
