A Minnesota is dead after being struck by a car on Water Street in Plymouth on Wednesday, according to police.
Douglas Mason, 65, was struck by a 75-year-old Plymouth woman.
Plymouth Police said a call came in at 11:41 a.m. saying there was an accident involving a pedestrian in the area of 130 Water Street.
The victim was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth and then flown to Boston.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene to speak with investigators. Preliminary investigation shows the driver was attempting to back into a parking space when she struck the man. Mason has reportedly stepped off the curb and was attempting to cross the street and was not in a crosswalk at the time.
No charges have been filed yet.
