A Holbrook woman reported missing Monday has been found alive.

Judith Sales was found in Waterford, Connecticut. Tina Potenti, Sales’ friend from high school, said she saw posts on Facebook about Sales going missing on Monday. When she saw that Sales’ cellphone had last pinged in Connecticut, she told her Connecticut friends to be on the lookout.

Potenti’s friend Kelly Donovan drove around to see if she could find Sales. While at the Crystal Mall in Waterford, Donovan said she spotted Sales’ car in the parking lot and called the police. Police responded to the area and found Sales in her car just after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

"I look at it as divine intervention coupled with the power of social media and friendship," said Potenti.

Police said Sales was in good health but asked to go to the hospital. Police in Holbrook were notified that Sales was found.

Police said Sales left her job in Taunton Monday and was supposed to pick up her son at his day care but never showed up. Sales’ husband then called police to report her missing, saying it was out of character for her.

"I’m glad it was a positive outcome for everyone involved. At least it was a happy ending," said Holbrook Police Chief William Smith.
