A slow speed chase involving a U-Haul landed a man behind bars in Missouri.

Police said the driver pulled a sword on two people at a gas station, on Thursday and then drove off.

Officers followed him up and down a highway for almost an hour, putting out stop sticks and even slashing the U-Haul’s tires.

The driver eventually stopped by slamming into a church.

Police said they found a woman and children inside the truck, along with several weapons.

"At first I thought it was an accident but then when you begin to hear some of the other details that are being shared you begin to wonder was this intentional?" Pastor Brandon Clark said.

Police said they were forced to use a taser on the man before taking him into custody.

The women and children in the truck were all okay.
