Another hot & humid day as we approach the end of July (time shoots on by, doesn't it?). Most cities & towns reached the 90s yesterday–even Boston did after spending much of the afternoon in the 80s (hi temp of 92 occurred at 5:30pm). I don't think it will be quite as hot as yesterday but it will be more humid so another uncomfortable days when outside and not near a pool, lake or ocean. Unlike yesterday there will be some scattered storms later today. These storms are accompanying a cool front across the northeast, which is now located way out in New York State, and will won;t arrive until 5-8pm (5pm Worcester Hills…8pm beaches). Some of these storms will have some brief heavy rain and gusty winds and the storms will be scattered so some of you may not see one drop of rain.

What this front will do is shove the humidity out of here tomorrow. Technically, it is a cool front but there's very little cool air with it so temps remain above normal with most towns reaching the upper 80s. Without that humidity though, it should feel good (albeit a little warm). As for the weekend, much the same with a mix of sun & clouds both days and seasonably warm temps. There is the risk of a few isolated t-storms across western/northern New England on Saturday but otherwise we are rain-free for the first weekend of August. Slow down summer, we're just getting to know you.
