UNION COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA (NBC) — A mother has died in North Carolina, just east of Charlotte, after seeing her son get on the school bus.
Witnesses say the mother, Hannah Gosney, had watched her son get on the bus.
She then saw her child would not sit down and walked in front of the bus to talk to him at a window.
As she crossed in front of the bus into the opposite lane, she was hit and killed.
The school bus driver had already turned off the stop arm and lights to leave.
Charges, if any, have not been decided.
