We’re up, we’re down, we’re all around… and the temperature roller-coaster continues this week.

It was a chilly Sunday with cool NW winds, but Boston still managed to hit a high of 59°.

I loved seeing all of the rainbow pictures posted on social media today!  The scattered showers were few and far between; I even received an email from a man in Methuen who said it was raining in is front yard, but not in the back.  It was one of those days that reminds me of the cartoons with one unlucky guy standing under one small rain cloud, and all around him there is nothing but sun.

Monday should be similar to Sunday with highs near 60°, but it might feel nicer with lighter winds.

The mild weather sets in for Tuesday and Wednesday, taking temps closer to 70°!  Tuesday will be the better of the two, I think.  Even though the temps are expected to peak on Wednesday (70°), there is a cold front threatening to move through that could push in cloud cover for the better part of the afternoon.  Along with that front, a few showers could be possible late Wednesday into early Thursday morning.

If only we could find a way to bottle up Tuesday’s weather – to break it out “in case of emergency” in a few months.  Alas, a good thing can’t last forever… after all, we’re moving into November!

Thursday and Friday should be seasonably cool, and the Trick-or-Treat forecast looks dry.

The bottom really drops out heading into November, with highs next weekend stuck in the 40s.
