The mother of the so-called “affluenza teen” who is accused of helping him run away to Mexico, will ask a judge to reduce her bond today.

Lawyers for Tonya Couch say her million-dollar bail is too high.

Last week, she was moved to a jail in Texas, where she complained to the sheriff about the conditions.

According to a warrant, Tonya Couch withdrew $30-thousand from her personal bank account the same day she and her son’s cell phones were deactivated.

Her son is still being held at a detention center in Mexico, where he continues to fight his extradition.

It could be months before the teenager is brought back to Texas.
