A large mountain lion was captured in a Southern California neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Police and animal control officers responded to calls that the animal was roaming a high school campus.

Officers spotted the animal sitting on a wall. It later went into the yard of a neighboring house.

Police cornered the animal and tranquilized it according to NBC 4 Los Angeles.

The mountain lion reportedly fell asleep in a flower bed.
