Movie studios and exhibitors are reportedly exploring a plan to stream first-run movies on the day they are released, according to Variety Magazine. 

A company known as "Screening Room" would offer newly-released movies directly streamed to homes, according to the magazine. Customers would pay a $150 access charge and $50 per movie screening. Customers would have 48 hours to watch the film.
