If ever there were a cat who embodied the perfect blend of playful and mellow personality traits it would be Mr. Dickens. This stunning, 3-year-old gray tabby was given up by an owner who moved into an apartment that doesn't”t allow pets. Having known a home for three years, it”s obviously a bit scary for Mr. Dickens to suddenly be vying for attention with other cats at the MSPCA-Angell adoption center in Jamaica Plain.

Mr. Dickens is a remarkable pet. He”s not too young so as to be very needy and constantly on the go, but he still has plenty of life ahead of him. He loved napping with his former human companions and is the first to greet new visitors in hopes of getting head bumps and chin scratches. Staffers believe he would be fine in a home with older children. He has never lived with cats or dogs, but staffers believe he would make a fine companion, so long as everyone had ample time to get to know one another.
