Yikes… while it was nice to have the sunshine yesterday, the 40-50mph wind gusts weren’t exactly easy to deal with. Peak gusts pushed 51mph in Winthrop and in Cambridge. This morning, we awake to chilly temps, but the wind is a lot lighter, and that’ll allow for a more comfortable day.
Not only do we have lighter winds, but we’ll have ton of sunshine through the day, allowing temperatures to warm up quiet a bit. We’ll go from the 20s and low 30s this morning to the mid to upper 50s this afternoon. There will still be a bit of a breeze this afternoon, just not nearly as strong as yesterday.
One could argue that today is the pick of the week over Thursday…. hmmmm, might be a close call. Although tomorrow is 10 degrees warmer, we’ll contend with a strong wind once again. This time, that breeze is out of the south to southwest, gusting 40-50mph. A wind advisory is in effect from 10am-8pm Thursday.

Mild air hangs in on Friday, but scattered downpours also roll in. It won’t rain all day, but hit or miss showers that are around into the early evening will provide us with some wet weather. Dare I say a bit humid too? Dew points near 60, so yes, it’ll be a bit on the muggy side as well.
An arctic front (yes arctic front) blasts through here Saturday night with a wave of low pressure. That may through down a few rain/snow showers overnight into early Sunday morning. Sunday will be a blustery day, gusts to 50mph again and temps holding near 40. Temps crash into the teens and lower 20s Sunday night, close to record lows. It’s possible that rain and/or snow tags us Tuesday pending the track of an area of low pressure that’s along a front that hangs just south of us.
