On Centre Court, Great Britain’s No. 2 seed Andy Murray swept his first – but potentially not last – Serbian opponent, Viktor Troicki. The final score read 6-3, 6-2.

As the clouds above the court grew darker and more ominous, Murray commanded a stronger lead. Though he started off a bit slow in the first set, he won 6-3; he dominated the second set, 6-2.

Murray is the reigning men’s singles gold medalist, having defeated Switzerland’s Roger Federer in the final of the London 2012 Games. He also recently won last month’s Wimbledon Championships.

At the year’s two other Grand Slam tournaments, Murray was a finalist. He lost to Serbia’s World No. 1, Novak Djokovic, in the Australian Open and French Open final.

Djokovic plays on Centre Court later tonight, at approximately 7:30 PM.
