WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (NBC) — There’s a first time for everything, even seeing the beach.
For one North Carolina woman, despite living her 78 years less than 90 miles from the ocean, she’d never been there before–until recently.
It’s a new view for Margaret Browning. At 78 years old, Margaret is seeing the ocean for the first time.
She traveled to Wrightsville Beach with her friends, for an experience that she will never let go of.
For Malinda Knight and Linda Sealey, granting Margaret’s wish, makes their days worth it.
“I felt like crying actually, it was so beautiful,” Harris Sealey said. “They’re my extended family and I love them so much.
It was Browning’s first time feeling sand between her toes, surrounded by people who love her.
“I’m just glad we got to help Ms. Margaret make a memory today,” Knight said.
Browning had a big experience and an even bigger smile on her face.
