The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of Munchkin pacifiers due to a potential choking hazard for young children.

Munchkin is recalling approximately 180,000 Latch lightweight pacifiers and clips. The pacifiers were sold in five different styles – designer, rattle, and heartbeat clips (natural shape) and designer and rattle clips (orthodontic pacifiers).

The company says the clip cover can detach from the pacifier’s clip, which causes a potential choking hazard. There have been 10 reports of the clip cover detaching but so far, no injuries have been reported.

The pacifiers were sold at Babies R US, Target, Wal-Mart, and other retailers, as well as on Amazon.com, Munchkin.com, and other websites. The products were sold from March 2014 to March 2016.

Customers who purchased the product should take it away from young children and contact Munchkin for a replacement pack or a full refund.
