A Texas woman is dealing with a strange side-effect as she recovers from a jaw surgery.
When she woke up, she had a British accent and could not get rid of it.
The woman went in for jaw surgery in December. When her British accent didn’t go away, she went to see a neurologist.
After tests, doctors were able to determine she had a rare neurological disorder, where someone’s voice can alter or change after a surgery or traumatic event.
The woman didn’t think people would believe her, but after support from her friends and family, she’s embracing her new accent.
