BOSTON (WHDH) - It’s always fun to get a glimpse of our planet from outer space. And it’s even more fun when the photo is centered on our little neck of the woods.

NASA Astronaut Jeff Williams snapped a photo Monday morning of New England, just as the haze broke over our part of the globe.

Williams posted the photo to Twitter at 8:30 a.m. local time.

“A hazy east coast pass opened up when we got to Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts,” Williams said on Twitter. “Good morning New England!”

The post captured much of Rhode Island, the Cape and Islands, and much of the Eastern Massachusetts coastline.

Williams also snapped photos of Yellowstone Park, the Tetons, Central Valley in California, Wisconsin, and Great Salt Lake in Utah.
