Before they can make it to Sochi, America’s best skaters have to shine on this ice in Boston at the TD Garden.
And as the competition gets underway 7NBC will have former Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski working with us.
Lipinski won America’s heart back in 1998 when she twirled and jumped her way to a golden medal at the age of 15.
Tara’s Picks for the National Championship:
Women’s figure skating: Ashley Wagner. Christina Gao also a potential Olympian.
Men’s figure skating: Max Aaron. Ross Miner could podium and make Olympic team.
Pair’s figure skating: Caydee Denney and John Coughlin.
Ice Dancing: Meryl Davis and Charlie White.
The women and pairs will be skating on Thursday. The men and the ice dancing will be on Friday.
The U.S. ice skating Olympic team will be announced Sunday.
