Hey everybody—today is the last full day of winter!!! Yawn…I so wish our seasons would flip on a dime but sadly it doesn’t work that way. Today will be full of sunshine but despite that strong March sunshine our temps will still end up about degrees below normal (45) in the mid 30s. We will also have some wind, granted not as strong as yesterday but enough to add a chill to the air.

Spring arrives Friday evening at 6:46 pm. There is a decent chance that snowflakes will be falling at that time. Bummer. It’s a storm that will pass south of New England late tomorrow afternoon and evening. As of no, I still think most of this storm’s energy is south of the region but I do think there will be some patchy light snow & flurries arriving by 5pm and lasting until midnight. for metro Boston it looks like a coating to an inch but south of Rt. 44 & especially right along the South coast 1-3″ of snow is likely. After the winter we’ve had, I’ll stamp this as a #NoBigDeal event.

The weekend sees that storm pull away from New England and allow for a little sunshine on Saturday. Even a little bit of sunshine can go a long way as temps should be able to reach the mid 40s (upper 30s at the coast). Sunday will be full of sunshine but sadly, more cold air pours into New England so temps struggle to reach the mid 30s.

Chilly & dry weather into the middle of next week.
