7News got the chance to talk with actor Ray Liotta about his new NBC drama "Shades of Blue," which premieres Thursday night.

Liotta plays Matt Wozniak, the leader of a group of corrupt Brooklyn detectives.

"I definitely straddle the line of corruption and morality," said Liotta. "What happens in the first episode is we find out that there’s a rat."

The FBI informant in the group is played by Jennifer Lopez. Her character, Harlee Santos, is forced to go undercover after she is caught in a sting to protect her daughter and bring down her colleagues. Lopez is also the show’s executive producer.

"She was great. I had never met her before," said Liotta about working with Lopez.

"Shades of Blue" premieres Thursday at 10 p.m. on 7NBC.
