NBC News: Rutgers University on lockdown after stabbings

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (WHDH) — Rutgers University is reportedly on lockdown following stabbings that took place on the university’s campus.

The university sent an alert to students saying a stabbing had occurred at the Rutgers Business School.

The alert instructed students to avoid the area and/or take shelter.

According to NBC News, multiple people were stabbed.

Rutgers says the suspect is in custody and the area is safe, though the investigation is ongoing.
